Keep in mind that some textures coming from Daz3D have a resolution bigger than 2048x2048. Then in the Output Options, set the FBX version to FBX 2014 - Binary and also make sure Embed Textures, Merge Diffuse and Opacity Textures, Merge Clothing Into Figure Skeleton, Allow Degraded Skinning, Allow Degraded Scaling and Collapse UV Tiles are already checked. In the Export Options, make sure the Figures, Props, Animation and Morphs are selected. This will open the FBX Export Options window. Select where you want to save your FBX file and then click Save. To export a FBX from Daz3D, select the File -> Export… from Daz3D’s menu bar. Your animation is now baked and ready to be exported as a FBX file format. To bake the animation select the animation and right-click the empty space of the timeline. Now we can go ahead and bake the animation. This will select all the joints of our object. Then select the root object for the model and right-click on it. To bake the animation, first select the Scene panel. For the purpose of this guide, we’re using Daz Studio 4.10.īefore exporting to FBX format we have to make sure that the animation is baked into the model so we can successfully import the animation with the model into Lens Studio.
